Virginia ABC Gift Card Terms and Conditions

Once activated, Virginia ABC gift cards may be used in any Virginia ABC store to purchase alcohol, wine and mixers. ABC gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash or used to purchase lottery tickets.

To report a lost or stolen gift card purchased online, simply log back in and report your card lost, which will freeze any unused balance. Only a gift card that has been registered can be replaced if lost or stolen. A registered gift card may also be set up for automatic reloads. For additional questions, e-mail giftcardquestions@abc.virginia.gov.

To report a lost or stolen gift card purchased at an ABC store, present the original receipt to an ABC store employee for the remaining balance to be reissued.

Anyone purchasing merchandise from an ABC store must be at least 21 years of age.

ABC gift cards have no fees, no expiration date and are reloadable. Gift cards may be purchased and reloaded in any amount from $10 to $500, and must be reloaded by the original purchaser.

Once merchandise has been purchased with an ABC gift card, a sales receipt must accompany all claims for a refund. If merchandise purchased with an ABC gift card is returned to a store for a refund, the original gift card will be reloaded. If the original gift card is not available, a new ABC gift card will be issued.

Mixed Beverage license holders may purchase merchandise with an ABC gift card.

Due to electronic balance storage and security features, ABC gift cards cannot be sold, reloaded or redeemed if the store is experiencing network connectivity issues.

Previously purchased ABC paper gift certificates have all since expired and are no longer redeemable.
