ABC Agents Arrests Woodbridge man on Synthetic Marijuana Charges

ALEXANDRIA –Today at about 12:30 p.m., special agents with the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC), Alexandria Regional Office, executed a search warrant at an Exxon Tiger Mart, located in the 8800 block of Richmond Highway in Alexandria. Items seized during the search included 21 glass smoking devices and 268, 3-gram packets of synthetic and herbal marijuana. Each 3-gram packet of synthetic and herbal marijuana sold for approximately $35, valuing today’s seizure at approximately $9,380.
Umar Farooq, 22, of Woodbridge, was taken into custody at the scene and served with two felony warrants: sale with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana and sale with intent to distribute herbal marijuana.
