Virginia ABC Makes Arrest in Alleged Embezzlement Case in Phoebus

HAMPTON – Special agents with the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) arrested John Preston Vann, the owner of the Phoebus Ultra Lounge and Restaurant, and charged him yesterday with two counts of felony embezzlement of Virginia sales tax.

The investigation is ongoing with the possibility of administrative charges being filed by ABC.
