Roanoke ABC Store Will Close for Remodeling
The Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) announced that the ABC store located at 3341 Melrose Ave., N.W. will close temporarily on March 27 at 6 p.m. for remodeling. The store is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, April 13 at 10 a.m.
The Roanoke store remodel, along with other recently remodeled stores, balances creativity with functionality by considering visual appeal as well as security, maintenance and accessibility for the disabled. The newly designed store will feature enhanced shelving allowing for increased product selection to meet market demand.

A major source of revenue for Virginia, ABC has contributed more than $1.5 billion to the commonwealth in the last five years. The agency currently operates 333 state stores, and its Bureau of Law Enforcement oversees more than 15,000 ABC licensed establishments. ABC also provides alcohol education and prevention programs to citizens throughout the state.
