Jeffrey L. Painter was appointed commissioner of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control by Gov. Terry McAuliffe in January 2014. Painter has more than twenty years of senior executive leadership experience in the public and private sector, including serving at the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as Legislative and Regulatory Coordinator from 2006–2008 and Chief Administrative Officer from 2008–2010. His other service includes Executive Director of the Virginia League of Conservation Voters and owner of Property Partners, a small business managing and investing in vacation properties. A native of Page County, Painter graduated from Emory and Henry College.
Judy Napier was appointed commissioner of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control by Gov. Terry McAuliffe in January 2014. Napier most recently served as Director of Business Development for the information technology firm CGI Group's Virginia sector. Before that she served as Assistant Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Technology in the administrations of Governors Mark Warner and Tim Kaine. She is a native of Portsmouth and graduated from Old Dominion University.
